I grew up here in Texas and earned my Bachelor’s degree in psychology at Texas A & M University in College Station and my Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin. As a military spouse, I have lived in California, Virginia, Maryland, and Texas and have worked in settings offering community mental health services, outpatient counseling, and hospital social work. I have over 15 years of counseling-specific experience working with children ages 4 and up, adolescents, and adults and offer individual, couples and family therapy at my office in Colleyville.
I have found that education, continued training, and life experience have combined to make me a better counselor. They have developed in me a keener understanding of many of my clients’ experiences and given me greater empathy and skill in guiding them through difficult circumstances.
I am a proud mom to four wonderful adult children and grandmom to three precious grandchildren, two of whom have special needs. They are the greatest blessings in my life! In my free time, I enjoy traveling with and spending time with my family, reading, doing puzzles of all kinds, and spoiling my pets.
In my office, you will be met with acceptance, warmth, and humor. You and your needs will be the driving force in our relationship, and you will be empowered to determine the direction and speed we will take in your healing process. I would love to talk with you about what you are currently experiencing and how I can help you set or meet your mental health goals!
